Grad­u­ates from this course will have acquired a nation­ally recog­nised qual­i­fi­ca­tion which will enable them to com­pete for employ­ment or an appren­tice­ship in the car­pen­try, join­ery and cab­i­net mak­ing indus­tries. This qual­i­fi­ca­tion can also be used to apply for a range of engi­neer­ing courses in the Insti­tutes of Tech­nol­ogy through the QQI entry route. Stu­dents may also apply for entry to the Galway-Mayo Insti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy (Letterfrack).
