Course details
Hairdressing is an intensive, hands-on, course leading to recognised qualifications in hairdressing and related skills. Students interested in progressing to a second year where they gain higher qualifications in Senior Trades and a City & Guilds Diploma in Ladies Hair Dressing are selected on a competitive basis. Training is provided in the fully equipped college hairdressing salon. Work experience offers students the opportunity to further develop their skills in selected and approved hairdressing salons.

Provide students who wish to have a career in hairdressing with the range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed in this rewarding area of the beauty industry.

- Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or equivalent.

COURSE STRUCTURE
Year 1 offers certification in FETAC Level 5 and Junior Trades Examination (Department of Education & Skills)
Year 2 offers certification in Senior Trades Examination (Department of Education & Skills) & (Diploma in Ladies Hairdressing - City & Guilds)
