Course details
This is a course which involves on and off-the-job training in Hairdressing. This will include 3 days College training in the fully-equipped hairdressing salon. Students who successfully complete this course may gain placement as a 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice in a high-profile hairdressing salon.
Awarding Body:
Department of Education & Skills - Senior Trade Hairdressing Certificate.
FETAC(QQI) Modules - Level 5 and 6
Career Opportunities:
On successful completion of this course students may gain placement as a Junior Stylist. Students can progress to further hairdressing training in Crumlin College with evening part-time courses - short courses for updating of hairdressing skills & the 2-Year Masters Diploma Course which is certified by the Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF).
Possible Job Opportunities - Qualified Hairdresser, Salon Instructor, Salon Manager/Owner, Company Technician, Artisitc Director, Theatre/Fashion Photographic Styling.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
Successful completion of Hairdressing Award (FETAC(QQI) Level 5) and of Junior Trade Certificate. All entry is subject to interview.
