Course details
The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is a qualification aimed at all staff, particularly new starters in any workplace, where a basic understanding of fire safety is required.
Course Objective
This qualification provides the opportunity for learners to develop competence in key skills and produce evidence towards attaining key skills. Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace with recognition of the contribution they may have to prevent the starting and spread of fires.
The qualification does not ensure key skills are met as this would depend upon learners producing a portfolio of evidence and the mode of study adopted.

Target Audience
The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is designed to help an organization to meet its duties under current fire safety legislation by providing employees with essential knowledge about fire safety, helping them to understand how to prevent a fire from starting as well as what actions to take if a fire does break out.
