These qualifications offer learners the opportunity to gain employment in the ever-expanding fitness/leisure industry. Theses are additional qualifications learners may gain whilst also completing FETAC Level 5 Sports, Recreation & Exercise 5M5146. This award allows students to progress to Sports Science and Exercise programmes in Institutes of Technology.
THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED TO
The main aim of the ITEC Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing ( Gym-based exercise) is to provide the learner with the knowledge and practical skills as an introduction into the fitness sector. The Certificate in Personal Training - ITEC Level 3 enables the learner to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide personal training advice and assistance for active leisure and recreation.

- Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or equivalent*
- Letter of recommendation from a recognised club
