Course details
GWO Fire Awareness aims to give participants the basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to prevent fires, make initial and appropriate judgement when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel to ensure all are safely evacuated and accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire, and, if it is judged to be safe, to efficiently extinguish an initial fire by using basic hand held fire fighting equipment. The course approved by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) and is designed for onshore and offshore wind turbines.

Admission Requirements
Those attending should be medically fit to carry out the practical part of the course and free from medical contra-indications that may prevent them from working safely (A list of conditions that could affect practical training is available on request). Course participants will be required to provide confirmation that they possess a valid medical certificate or self-certify their medical and physical fitness before commencement of the course.
