Course details

Graphic design is a vehicle for communication as well as self-expression. It is about communicating visually in order to inform, educate, entertain or persuade. Graphic designers provide creative, visual solutions for anything from advertising to packaging design, web design, newspaper/magazine layout, Poster, logo design etc. and are key to effective and successful communication.

Students will produce a portfolio of design work, including posters, magazine layouts, logo design, web layouts, book illustration, drawing and more. You will be encouraged to explore and express your ideas through a variety of media while developing your own unique and individual approach to visual problem solving.

Entry Requirements

• Leaving Certificate (5 passes)
• Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent
• Applicants of mature years will be considered on their merits
• Students should present samples of drawing or design work at interview
