Course details
It offers two possible pathways:
- A stand-alone programme to equip inpiduals in all facets of art making and critical thinking;
- as a transition to undergraduate studies at LASALLE or other institutes of higher learning.
The Certificate seeks to provide students with a comprehensive grounding in the basic creative processes for all areas of study in Visual Arts. It also serves to identify students’ strengths and provide advice as to possible choices for future specialist study.
The curriculum focuses on sequential and explorative learning and values the practices of its students. It equips them with a broad skill-set and nurtures reflective and critical thinking in areas such as fundamental technical skills, manual dexterity and basic visual/cultural literacy. In addition, the Programme also supports student learning through the personal and professional development component.
This Certificate Programme is intended for those with minimum GCE A’level education level or above. All applicants will be interviewed by the programme lecturers.

As a private, non-profit arts institution, LASALLE College of the Arts is a registered Institute of Public Character, approved by the Commissioner of Charities, and operates autonomously under the constitution of LASALLE College of the Arts Limited.
