Course detailsThis course gives participants a general understanding of a business environment where individuals have to manage budgets or costs or to take responsibility for revenue or expenditure. The workshop introduces non-ﬁnancial managers to the world of ﬁnance, enabling them to understand their organization's ﬁnancial issues and how their decisions affect their organization's ﬁnancial performance.
OBJECTIVES The objective of this program is to provide an introduction to ﬁnance fundamentals and to introduce participants to key ﬁnance concepts. Participants will become familiar with the fundamentals of ﬁnance, gain experience in teamwork, and analyze business problems through case work and in class exercises. Topics covered include: ﬁnancial statements, ratio analysis, the time value of money including net present value, leverage and capital structure, capital markets and the role ﬁnance in management.
