Course details

This 2 day, hands-on workshop will give participants an overview of Final Cut Pros new interface and features. Find out how media is stored, how clips are organized with Keyword Ranges and Smart Collections and how the new editing paradigm is based on Primary Storylines and Clip Connections. Other new features such as the Magnetic Timeline, Compound Clips and the Inline Precision Editor will be introduced along with applying transitions and exporting projects for immediate uploading to Vimeo or YouTube. This workshop is ideal for those with little or no previous editing experience & as a prelude toFCPX101, our Level One Apple Authorised Training for Final Cut Pro X.

Prerequisites

Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending:

  • Knowledge of OS X and basic computer navigation
  • Knowledge of editing terminology is desirable but not essential
