To provide the learner with an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to care for clients and their families in a variety of community settings.
Course objectives:
On completion of the course, Learners will be able to:
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and an ability to respect people as inpiduals.
- Understand the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the inpidual for whom they provide care.
- Demonstrate the ability to carry out personal care for inpiduals while promoting independence in a supportive environment, and good healthy habits.
- Exhibit an ability and an attitude to be a flexible care team member who is responsive to both instruction and delegation.

Sean has a Science Degree from, NUI Maynooth, a Masters in Industrial Engineering from UCD, an MBA from the Smurfitt School of Business, a Higher Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from DCU and a Postgraduate Degree in Adult and Community Education from NUI Maynooth.
