Progression: Students with two years sea service in vessels greater than 12 metres can progress to Deck Officer Certificates of Competency
Course content includes:
- Practical skills in engineering
- Fishing vessel operations on MFV Lough Swilly
- Care of the catch
- Net repair and construction
- Navigation
- Safety skills
