Course details
Objective: This course is designed to give comprehensive training in the skills required to work competently on a fish farm.
Qualification: FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Aquaculture
Entry Requirements:
- Junior or Leaving Certificate and/or relevant life and work experience
- Candidates are selected by interview
Progression: Students can progress to GMIT’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology.
The following minor awards may be of interest to practising fish farmers. These minor awards can be taken separately to accommodate specific work requirements and credits may be accrued for each module successfully completed:
