About the course
The Final Examination
First Part is the entrance examination to the Law Society of Ireland. Only those who have passed or gained exemption from the Preliminary Examination can sit this examination which is held twice each year, in summer and autumn.
At the Professional Law School we pride ourselves on combining outstanding materials and support, delivered by the best lectures in the way that suits your timetable and lifestyle. We also offer fantastic value for money. We are pleased to offer students four subjects for the price of three and eight subjects for the price of six. This offer is limited by terms and conditions.
Subject Suggestions
For the FE1 exams, the Law Society requires you to sit four exams in your first sitting. You must pass three of those four exams to carry passes forward. Many students opt to sit four exams in one sitting, and then four in the next. You could bear the following in mind when making choices.
Many students find constitutional law and EU law the longest courses and it's a good idea to split them between sittings.
There is some overlap between contract law and equity and it's a good idea to keep them together if you can.
- Constitutional law
- Company law
- Contract law
- Criminal law.
- Equity & Trusts
- EU Law
- Law of Torts
- Property Law
