Course details
This course equips learners with core skills that are required for a career in the fashion industry. An appreciation of fashion product, design and fashion history lead to an understanding of range development and the processes required to market and promote fashion businesses. A variety of individual and team-working projects are also offered, providing many opportunities to develop the confidence and skills required to progress to the Level 6 Fashion Industry Practice Advanced Certificate. Learners can also develop work suitable for portfolio preparation required for third level colleges application.
Learners who successfully complete a QQI Level 5 Certificate may be able to use their results to progress 
to related Level 7 and Level 8 Degree Programmes in Irish Universities and Institutes of Technology. Third level
 progression opportunities for QQI learners are continually being developed and enhanced.

Entry Requirements
- Leaving Certificate or LCA or equivalent or relevant experience
- Interview
- Applicants may bring to interview samples of their work to date such as visual notebooks, projects, sketch ideas or items made. This is optional and not a requirement for the interview
- Successful applicants are advised to find suitable work experience
- Mature applicants welcome
- Applicants may be accepted without meeting formal entry requirements
