Course details
Will introduce/improve your range of creative and practical skills relevant to fashion design. You will learn the skills of research, how to produce initial design ideas, produce fabric samples and how to develop designs through to a finished 3D prototype. You will also learn how to develop and sketch your ideas in your own individual way. Fashion design is about color, culture, illustration, expression, materials, pattern drafting etc. This is a good course to learn to formulate and communicate your ideas from your own personal research and development.
Students will work from their own set brief, carry out and evaluate original research and generate and develop ideas for garments. This course is ideal for students, designers, seamstresses and anyone interested in fashion and good quality design.
This is a hands on creative course, and a great introduction to understanding the particular role of the fashion designer and developer within the industry.
