Course details
The Fashion Design course equips learners with the core creative skills of research through drawing & investigation and producing design development ideas for garments. Learners will develop art and design portfolios suitable for application to third level colleges.
The core technical modules of pattern drafting and garment construction equip the learner with the skills required to make outfits based on their own designs. An emphasis is placed on acquiring skills needed to produce saleable garments.

Entry Requirements
- Leaving Certificate level or LCA or equivalent qualification or experience
- Interview - Applicants should bring samples of their work to date in order to demonstrate their interest in fashion design. Suggested work includes drawing and artwork, design sketches, scrapbooks, garments made or customised and artefacts
- Mature applicants welcome
- Applicants may be accepted without meeting formal entry requirements
