Course details

Every day we need buildings of all sorts - offices, factories, schools, hospitals, shops - but few people stop to think about who makes everything in these building work properly.

The ILM Facilities Management Diploma is in three stages (Award -Certificate - Diploma). At each stage participants gain a stand-alone qualification. On final completion of the Diploma participants may qualify for Associate Membership of the BIFM.

The Facilities Management Award covers:

• Faciities management in context
• Health and safety at work management
• Workplace relationship management
• Workplace service delivery
• Knowledge-based assignments
• Work-based assignments

The ILM Facilities Management Certificate builds on the ILM Award and covers:

Introduction to managing and maintaining property and assets Introduction to leadership and management Project Management Solving problems and making decisions Developing yourself and others Knowledge-based assignments Work-based assignments

Course Accreditation

The courses are accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). ILM is the leading education and professional body for managers and is internationally recognised. It is part of the City & Guilds organisation.

No Examinations

One of the benefits of these courses is that there are no written examinations. Instead participants complete assignments related to their practical everyday work. Tutorial support is provided as part of the course.
