Need to plan and implement your Experion PKS System?

This course provides participants the ability to perform the following tasks as applicable to the Experion PKS System:

  • Plan the system. This includes the planning of the Server, Stations and the Fault Tolerant Ethernet
  • Configure the Server. This includes setting up the Enterprise Model, SCADA Points, Alarms, Alarm Groups, and Preformatted and Custom Reports
  • Use Experion PKS data in other applications

COURSE OBJECTIVES 

Efficient Experion PKS System planning, and implementation of your Server

  • Conceptual understanding of the server to enable optimum utilization.
  • Design and configure the server for optimum data collection.

COURSE OUTLINE

You will learn how to….

  • Recognize the role of the major hardware and software components and learn how data flows through the Experion PKS Server
  • Plan the Experion PKS Server and the Fault Tolerant Ethernet
  • Configure Stations, Flex, Console, and Console Extensions
  • Configure Report printers
  • Configure the Experion PKS Server for Process 

Control functionality such as:

  • SCADA Controllers and Points
  • Configuring alarm settings
  • Alarm, Event, and Message Summaries
  • SCADA Point Algorithms
  • History Archiving
  • Group and Trend Displays
  • Point schedules
  • Alarm Paging
  • Recipes Configure additional functionality such as:
  • Data exchange with Microsoft Excel

EXPERION PKS System Implementers 

Experion System Engineering and configuration tasks can impact the following job roles. Other job roles performing these tasks could also participate.

  • Experion System or Application Engineer responsible for configuring the server, adding to or changing the server configuration.

PRE-REQUISITES

Prerequisite Course(s)

One of the following:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional User Fundamentals (72006) or
  • Successful completion of Windows 2000 pre-test with a minimum score of 80% available at enrollment

Desirable Skills and/or Experience

  • Plant, process, and Distributed Control System tag knowledge
  • Microsoft Windows / Excel (basic navigation and use of toolbar)

COURSE LEADER

The course leader is a Honeywell accredited trainer.

CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION

Certificates of Participation will be awarded to participants who have achieved 75% attendance for the course.
