The ECS is a recognised professional course which has been mapped by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) against the UK Government’s National Occupational Standards (NOS) It provides foundation level skills in management consultancy for those considering entering the profession or those who wish to have an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed in this area.

The ECS provides public recognition of achievement of a professional foundation qualification in management. It also provides a basis for further development to full Certified Management Consultancy (CMC) qualification -an internationally recognized award which is also offered by the IC (see below)
