    Able to identify global trends and changes impacting the workplace, undertake lifelong learning to adapt to changes for sustained employability in the new knowledge economy. Share knowledge and skills to enhance productivity and effectiveness in a diverse workplace.

    What will I learn?

    On completion of this unit, the participant will be able to perform the following:

    1. Access available sources of information to identify global trends and interpret information that impact one’s employability and job role
    2. Identify the types of expectations and adjustments required in current and new job situation to stay employable and competitive in the global context
    3. Identify the types of competencies required in current and new job requirements
    4. Identify gaps in own competencies, determine training and development needs and select suitable learning opportunities that match personal learning styles
    5. Transfer skills and knowledge acquired from training and development to the workplace and measure performance improvement as a result of training and development
    6. Demonstrate the ability to learn from and coach others a given set of skills from one job situation to another
    7. Identify the implications of diversity at the workplace and participate in relevant approaches to work within a diverse workforce
    8. Identify impact of change on oneself and one’s job and adopt appropriate techniques to respond to change

    Who should take this course?

    The job role(s)/ occupations that this unit would be relevant to may include those whose skills, knowledge and work activities undertaken are represented by the level of complexity that fits into the following description:

    Nature of Skills and Knowledge:

    • For performing a narrow range of basic and routine work activities under a predictable work context.
    • Mainly factual and procedural

    Nature of Work Activities:

    • Performed under clearly specified boundaries and close supervision
    • Requires minimal judgement
    • Some accountability
    • Rely on standard operating procedures to solve problems

    Requirements

    • Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4
    • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (WPN) level 4

    Will I recieve a certificate of completion?
