Course details

This course covers all aspects of the English Language: grammar, usage, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Great importance is placed on oral communication and materials are both relevant and stimulating.

A range of pedagogical teaching practices are used to ensure students reach their full potential when trying to master a new language.

English Progression

Students are given a placement test when they arrive in Ireland to ensure that they are placed in the appropriate level for their ability. Every 6 weeks, during their programme, students are given a progression test to ensure that the student is always in a quality learning environment.

Diploma in Marketing Purpose

To enable students to learn and apply the principles and practices of marketing to the real world environment. On successful completion of this programme, learners will be able to work effectively as a marketing assistant in a range of organisations.

Diploma in Marketing Aims

Understand the concept of the marketing environment and the many facets of marketing that this entials, e.g. function of marketing departments, PEST analysis, business to business and business to consumer markets and market research.

Have a detailed appreciation for the role of marketing in product development/sales cycle.

Discuss and apply pricing models and strategies.

How marketing plays a valuable role in product promotion.

Analyse the role and implementation of a variety of distribution channels.

CITAS College was established in 1996 by Felicia Olima who has won several awards including the Inter-City Enterprise Award in 2001 which was presented to her by the Minister Of State at The Department of Enterprise and Employment. Felicia trained students in Trinity College in the 1990's as well as training students for FAS and Community Employment Schemes.
