Course details

This course covers all aspects of the English language: grammar, usage, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Great importance is placed on oral communication and materials are both relevant and stimulating.

Progression

Students are given a placement test when they arrive in Ireland to ensure that they are placed in the appropriate level for their ability. Every 6 weeks, during their programme, students are given a progression test to ensure that the student is always in a quality learning environment. Students may not start at level C1 if they are staying for longer than 12 weeks.

Course Assessment

All our English students must sit an external exit test at the end of their course.

CITAS College was established in 1996 by Felicia Olima who has won several awards including the Inter-City Enterprise Award in 2001 which was presented to her by the Minister Of State at The Department of Enterprise and Employment. Felicia trained students in Trinity College in the 1990's as well as training students for FAS and Community Employment Schemes.
