The Accredited Energy Manager level2 is a professional programme designed for those with strong foundation knowledge in the area of energy management. The AEM programme is ideally suited to participants seeking to further their skills and gain recognition of their knowledge. The course is aimed at middle and senior energy managers with considerable experience in the field of energy management and will influence decisions regarding energy. Achievement of the Energy Management Level 2 Certificate reflects the ability to monitor operating costs of commercial and industrial facilities, to illustrate methods of minimising the use of energy and to identify opportunities for the introduction for new and innovative alternative energy technologies, to analyse the performance of a wide range of energy systems, to make critical valuations of systems with regards to economy, efficiency, CO2 emissions and to formulate creative solutions to minimise energy consumption without interfering with the facilities core activities.

Aims of the Programme

  • The AEM Level 2 programme seeks to provide the participant with the technical and practical skills necessary to analyse, evaluate and improve energy consumption, technologies and best practice.

  • This programme is accredited by Engineers Ireland for CPD for their members.

Assessments

  • There are 8 assessments; completing a work based assessment for each module of learning.

Entry Requirements

Direct entry to this programme is suited to those who have 2+ verifiable experience in energy management. An alternative route of entry is available following completion of the CME Energy Manager Professional Level 1 programme.
