This course is aimed at those wishing to upskill from previous training undertaken and those who wish to pursue a course which covers a greater range of knowledge and skills in more depth than introductory courses. The Emergency First Responder course is the recommended starting point to develop a career in the Pre Hospital Emergency Care field.
General Aims
The course will enable the learner to provide pre hospital emergency care to Emergency First Responder Level.
Method of Delivery
The course will be delivered through both theory lectures and practical skills sessions. Throughout the course continious assessment will be employed to ensure progression and to enhance students knowledge and skills.

The Irish Ambulance Training Institute was established in 2007 to deliver a national and professional training service. their client base has extended to include a range of care providers including Ambulance Services, and a number of other students including Fire Brigade, members of Defence Forces, Gardai, Health Care Professionals, inpiduals and members of Sporting Organisations.
