Course details
This course is suitable for individuals wishing to become a teacher/trainer of IT in an education and/or industry. It is also suitable for qualified teachers who wish to teach IT in an educational institution. The course is also aimed at those who intend to teach, train or instruct others and who want to gain prior knowledge and understanding of educational principles. It is suitable for candidates who are in a role as a teacher, trainer, instructor or facilitator within an educational or commercial environment and want to achieve a qualification which confirms their understanding of teaching and learning principles and practice.
Course Outline:
Mandatory units in the following areas:
- Teaching ICT Skills
- Principles of Teaching and Learning
Assessment:
Five assignments covering the teaching role, teaching and learning approaches, session planning, delivering inclusive sessions and assessment.
Award:
Candidates who successfully complete the required units/credits will be awarded with the EDI Diploma in Teaching (ICT).
