Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme.
Holders of a FETAC Level 4 award may also apply. Mature students ie applicants over 23 year of age may be exempt from the above requirements.
Career Opportunities
On completion of the course students may work in a supervisory capacity in a variety of settings including crèches, nurseries, playgroups, early start programmes.

About Central College Limerick
Central College Limerick - College of Further Education provides a range of courses both Full-time day courses, Part-time evening courses and courses under the Back to Education Initiative to students in the Mid-West Region.
All couses delivered at the college are Quality Assured under FETACs quality assurance agreement.
Central College Limerick - College of Further Education was established in 1997. CCL is a College of Further Education offering an excellent range of professional career courses. CCL graduates enjoy professional qualifications certified and accredited by FETAC.
The College is located on Sexton Street and is just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Limerick City and is adjacent to the bus and railway station.
Facilities
The college has excellent facilities and is continually updating its specialist equipment on each of its courses to meet the advances of technology. There are 4 fully networked computer rooms supported by HEA net 100 MB Fibre broadband.
Costs
There are no tuition fees. All courses are funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan 2007 to 2013. Students will be required to pay an acceptance fee in order to secure a place in the College. Students will also be responsible for other expenses such as exam fees, course material etc.
Work Experience
Work Experience is an integral part of each course. Many students secure permanent employment from their period of work experience.

It is important to note that the points system does not operate at Central College Limerick. The minimum entry requirements are:
- Leaving Certificate or
- Leaving Certificate Applied or
- Leaving Certificate Vocational
- Plus
- A Personal Interview
Student Services
All student attending CCL have access to Career Guidance Services. Students with Special Requirements attending the College can apply through the HEA for additional supports such as: Transport, Additional Tuition, PA, Scribe, etc. The college is fully wheelchair accessible.
Garda Vetting
All students are required to complete the Garda Vetting process. Garda Vetting forms are available from the college on the offer of a place.
