This second generation of Terrestrial Digital TV systems (DVB-T2) is the extension of the original DVB-T, issued by the European consortium DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting), devised for the broadcast transmission of digital terrestrial television.
This unit aims to provide a basic theoretical and practical knowledge on the DVB-T2 system and standard. Participants will obtain the broad overview of market segments and applications that would be addressed with this new standard, such as DVB-T2 opportunities related to the Analogue Switch Off (ASO) in Europe. The unit also offers a comprehensive explanation of the global transmission chain before getting into more details on the technical parts such as the multi-PLP service implementation, the DVB-T2 modulation and operating modes.
