Course details
The Diploma: Welding will empower you with the relevant skills and competencies supporting the selection of suitable welding methods for different types of metal and applications, the preparation of components and the use of different joints. Likewise, it supports the use and application of different tests to enable quality assurance of welded metals and joints. The programme furthermore ensures the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for welding requirements and applies welding skills and techniques to pipe welding. Skills obtained can be applied for various purposes including construction, fabrication, repair and maintenance.
Entrance Requirement
Grade 12 (Standard 10) or equivalent or the Certificate: Welding with INTEC, or verifiable and relevant working experience (3 years) preferably in a technical environment.
