The Diploma of Vocational Education and Training reflects the roles of experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
You may have a role in leading other trainers and assessors and in providing mentoring or advice to new trainers or assessors as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the RTO.
The Diploma of VET is a qualification that offers practitioners in the VET sector an opportunity to fine tune skills and knowledge. It offers an exciting model of best practice in both learning and assessment strategies. It focuses on strategies to empower participants both in the VET classroom but also in the design of resources and the utilization of online approaches to learning.
It is expected that this qualification will be required by those who assess the core units of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
What employment opportunities will I have?
This course has a practicum component in it and once you have qualified you will be considered an advanced facilitator in the VET sector across schools, TAFE, Private RTO’s and in Industry.
