The BHCK Diploma of Graphic Design reflects the role of graphic designers at the beginning of their professional careers. It combines technical, creative and conceptual skills to create designs that meet client requirements and solve a range of visual communication challenges. Graduates will have a sound understanding of design theory and practice and are able to analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources to generate design solutions. Graphic designers work in many different commercial and community contexts across both print and digital media. After graduation, the designer is likely to be working in junior or generalist roles. Their work may include or have links to areas such as advertising and promotion, art direction, branding, corporate identity, instructional design, packaging, signage and web design.
Students with a Diploma in Graphic Design are able to continue toward a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design/Fine Arts/
The 63 credits of the Diploma are composed of:
- 18 credits of General Education courses
- 9 credits of Core Graphic and Interior Design Courses
- 36 credits of Specialist courses

Box Hill College Kuwait ( BHCK) is the sole private higher education exclusive to women in the State of Kuwait . It operates as an extended campus of Box Hill Institute (BHI), Australia. BHCK currently offers six diploma programs in the fields of Management, Marketing , Banking Services Management , Graphic Design , Interior Design and Decoration and Website Development. The program disciplines currently offered by BHCK require 2 years of post-secondary full time study exclusive of any preparatory requirements. The programs are offered in English, and are accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework and by the Kuwait Private Universities Council and Ministry of Higher Education. BHCK currently offers six diploma programs through their three academic departments. The program disciplines currently offered by BHCK require 2 years of post-secondary full time study exclusive of any preparatory requirements.
The programs are accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework and by the Kuwait Private Universities Council and Ministry of Higher Education.
Entry to BHCK requires completion of year 12 education and the BHCK placement test. Students may qualify for government scholarship funding which will require a minimum GPA among other criteria. The placement test helps students determine their level of English and Math proficiency. Placement test results determine any preparatory studies required to assure the student can succeed in their chosen academic program of study.
- Applied Arts & Design: deliver internationally and locally accredited Diploma qualifications in Graphic Design, Interior Decoration & Design and Web Design.
- Business Studies: deliver internationally and locally accredited Diploma qualifications in Management, Marketing and Financial Services.
- Foundation Studies: delivers a range of ESL programs and preparatory courses. These courses equip students from non-English speaking backgrounds with the fundamental skills required to succeed in mainstream studies.
