Course details

The programme comprises of three subjects, presented in an integrated modular format: 

  • Nursing Dynamics 
  • Occupational Health 
  • Occupational Health Nursing Science 

Three of the following short courses must be completed: 

  • Audiometry 
  • Spirometry 
  • Dispensing 
  • Family planning 

Recognition of prior learning applies. 

CLINICAL COMPONENTS 

  • A minimum of 500 experiential learning hours in the clinical setting. 
  • Placement of learners in occupational health clinics according to the learning needs of the learner and the aims of the programme. 
  • Placement of learners within the clinical setting is conducted in accordance with SANC requirements using SANC approved clinic settings.
