Course details
The Diploma in Music Production (DMP) is a programme jointly designed by SODE and Beep Studios. The course equips the student with the technical proficiency to create, edit, product, record and mix professional-quality music and audio. It also engages the student in the area of audio aesthetics, training the student in both the science and art of music production.
The programme director, Mr. Kevin Foo (co-founder of Beep Studios) has spent the last 10 years compiling a respectable list of credentials. He had produced music for numerous indie artists/bands and also major publishers such as Sony/BMG and Universal. The average teacher-student ratio is 1:25.
Admission Criteria
Age Requirement: Applicant must be at least 16 years old on 1 January 2015.
Language Proficiency: Obtained at least a pass in GCE O Level English.
Applicant must also pass another 2 'O' Levels subjects, or NITEC or Higher NITEC
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirement (no formal education or industry experiences) but demonstrate good aptitude or possess relevant portfolios will be interviewed and attended to on a case-by-case basis.
Completion
Students who have graduated will obtain a certification from the school.
Graduates who wish to further their studies after the DMP may progress to a Bachelor of Arts in Sound Art, Music Industry, Digital Audio or Audio Engineering.

Music Producer | Audio Engineer | Live Sound Engineer | Independent Artiste | Musician | Music Consultant | Record Label Executive | Audio Post-Production Engineer | Sound Engineer | Composer | Arranger | Mastering Engineer and so forth.
