Course details

The aim of the Diploma in Leadership is to produce postgraduates with an advanced level of theoretical knowledge, leadership and research skills. A further aim is to develop participants’ interpersonal communication, critical evaluative skills and problem solving abilities, grounded on ethical principles and evidence based practice at postgraduate level.

Why study this programme?

The programme will facilitate participants to:

  • Develop personal effectiveness and leadership capacity in the context of current structural and professional change in the Irish health and social care services;
  • Promote critical reflection on leadership, change and partnership;
  • Develop the advanced knowledge and skills to examine evidence based practice;

Entry Requirements

  • Be registered health or social care professionals;
  • Have a BSc (Hons) in Health or Social Care or equivalent QQI level 8 qualification;
  • The Institute’s policy in relation to non-standard applicants also applies.
