Diploma in Emergency Medicine is a one year program designed to train students with an international standard of training in Emergency care.

Our course modules cover all aspects of emergency medicine and focus on improving the knowledge and skills required to efficiently handle Emergency cases. There is also ample focus on imparting the knowledge of appropriate and proficient use of procedural skills, both diagnostic and therapeutic care.

• Students get an opportunity to work in very busy high acuity Emergency departments in India (Both Apollo and Non Apollo partners)
• Most of the training centers are either JCI and/or NABH accredited.
• Students get a chance to progress their career into MCEM at one of the accredited Apollo Hospitals in India.
• In-depth and updated course content with 4 week period of hands on training to enhance clinical skills
• Training to handle all emergencies and its related care

Skills Imparted:

• Understand the organization of Emergency Medical Services
• Establish and maintain clinical knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to quickly assess and manage emergencies
• Select appropriate investigations, including laboratory and diagnostic imaging, with careful attention to patient safety, diagnostic utility and cost, and interpret the results accurately within their clinical context
• Differential diagnosis of common illnesses presenting to emergency department
• Become familiar with the equipment and drugs used in emergencies and use therapeutic interventions in a safe, effective, appropriate and timely manner

Certificate:

On the successful completion of the final exam, completion of the log book and having a minimum of 90% attendance in theory and clinical sessions, students will be awarded “Diploma in Emergency Medicine” jointly by Apollo Medvarsity & The Royal Liverpool Academy (UK)
