    This evening course introduces participants to the principles and skills to build dynamic web applications in a structured environment using taught classes, supervised labs and a combined continual assessment of labs, exam and project based accreditation.

    Students will learn how to build modular websites in a multi-tiered environment that comprise of Ux discovery techniques, front end technologies HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript. Back end technologies include PHP and MySqli. Also introduces the BootStrap framework.

    The course is aimed at those who want to gain an understanding of how to design, build and deploy dynamic, responsive and interactive web applications. It is suitable for those with some Xhtml/HTML experience and also those who come from a design background who wish to learn web-programming skills.

    This course builds on skills learnt in the certificate course so participants will be expected to have knowledge of HTML and basic CSS.

    The course will teach students how to design HTML front-ends, and style them with external stylesheets. It will also teach them to manipulate the DOM using javascript. The course will also demonstrate how to use PHP scripting language to dynamically create interactive web pages whiich allow user input as well as reading and writing data to and from a MySQL database.

    Overview Dublin:

    Mature Students - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form. A member of the College’s admissions team will be in touch to discuss your course entry requirements. Under 23 Years - 5 Ordinary Level, Grade D3s or above in your Leaving Certificate (subjects to include Maths and a language) or equivalent exam taken. All applicants must be a user of Microsoft Office. The prerequisite to attending the Diploma level is that you have completed the Certificate in Web Design course.
