You will acquire the ability to create user interfaces that are sophisticated, intuitive, and a pleasure to use, and gain insights into how human-centred designs maximise interactivity.
Hands-on training to develop design thinking capabilities and hone practical design skills is an integral part of your learning experience. In addition, relevant industry attachment with design companies or organisations with design pisions allows you to gain real-world experience.
Course Outcomes
- Understand interaction design and user experience, the interactive nature of design thinking, and the design process
- Build knowledge in the areas of service, spatial and product design, architecture, and tangible interaction
- Develop skills in user-centred design, inclusive and sustainable design, ethnographic and user research, wire-framing, prototyping, usability testing, and design thinking
- Undergo a 16-week industry attachment programme with organisations such as OgilvyOne Singapore, Ong & Ong and UX Consulting
Career Opportunities
DDUX graduates can look forward to joining design teams in global technology companies strong in design culture, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Philips, and Samsung. They can also take on researcher roles in usability studies or aspire to become user experience designers and consultants. In addition, their skill sets also allow them to be web designers.
