Course details
This programme provides an overview of strategic management issues and operational elements of airport management and academic disciplines of transportation and airport engineering. It also provides an in-depth understanding of how the various components of the civil aviation industry function and integrate. Participants will gain valuable insights into international best practices and Singapore Changi Airport's experience, as well as develop skills to strategically manage airport-related challenges.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
This programme comprises a compulsory course as well as elective courses. Participants are given the flexibility to select electives based on their areas of profession or interest. They are required to complete a compulsory course, an elective from Group 1 and up to two electives (minimum duration of two weeks) from Group 2. Participants may choose to attend any of the courses first.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Have appropriate training or some knowledge of the aviation industry
- Be proficient in the English language
COURSE VENUES
Classes will be conducted at SAA. For certain elective courses, classes will be held at NUS.
PROGRAMME DELIVERY
The programme is conducted through a structured combination of lectures, case studies, group exercises, projects and site visits. In addition, panel discussions will be held to discuss strategic issues on civil aviation management.
AWARD OF CERTIFICATE
A Professional Diploma in Civil Aviation Management will be awarded to those who have successfully completed the compulsory course and chosen electives, as well as passed all examinations under Group 1 Electives, within four years of admission. Diploma holders may append the abbreviated form of the qualification 'Dip. Civil Aviation Mgt. ' after their name.
PANEL OF ADVISORS AND LECTURERS
The programme is conducted by a panel of advisors and lecturers comprising:
- Heads of departments, professors and senior academic staff from the National University of Singapore (NUS)
- Senior practising personnel from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and other government and aviation-related organisations
- International aviation industry experts
