Course details

Every time we look up to the sky when we hear a flying aircraft, we wonder how these machines stay airborne, how they are made and how they are flown. In the Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, we unravel these mysteries and teach you the basics of mechanical, mathematics and electronics competency related to aerospace airframe, engines and applied research.

As the only polytechnic in Singapore to be certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore as a SAR-147 Approved Maintenance Training Organisation (AMTO), we will be able to give you an advantage over your peers in your pursuit of a career as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE). On top of this, every student will be attached to our TP-Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) Centre to receive high quality practical training from LTT, the training arm of renowned German airline, Lufthansa.

Our campus' close proximity to Changi Airport, Seletar Aerospace Hub and major aerospace companies also gives you an edge during your final year internship, when you will be attached to reputable aerospace organisations such as SIAEC, ST Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Hawker Pacific, Eurocopter and MAJ Aviation.

If you aspire to be a pilot, you can also obtain a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) during your 3-year diploma course, under an agreement that we have with the Singapore Youth Flying Club, which is only available in our polytechnic.

This is a niche industry where graduates are highly sought after and if your dream is to be an LAE or an aerospace professional, then taking an aerospace diploma course at TP would be the better option for you.
