Course details

• The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to research and use a range of advanced digital
• photography techniques to include capture and post-production imaging.

Learning Outcomes

• Learners will be able to:
• Evaluate the role of digital photography as a contemporary medium of communication
• Research current photography techniques and styles
• Select appropriate equipment and software for a range of tasks
• Interpret clients brief understanding concepts and visuallanguage including researching and managing client
• requirements.
• Utilise a range of industry standard digital capture and editingdevices
• Expose photographs correctly by controlling shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation and white balance
• Manage digital editing tools efficiently to produce a final Image
• Generate a portfolio of photographs of a high professional standard suitable for public display
• Demonstrate advanced skills in digital photographic production
• Demonstrate creativity through research and the practice of photography
• Demonstrate problem solving, observation and evaluation skillsthrough the practice of portraiture
• Work in a disciplined manner, managing and participating successfully as a member of a professional team
