Digital Media is one of the growth areas of the Irish economy. It has grown despite the recession and is one of the few industries where jobs are regularly on offer. This dynamic and exciting Improver’s course will explore current digital media technologies and their application in daily life e.g. Smartphones, Tablets, PCs, Smart TVs, iPads, iPhones. You will learn how to:-

  • Devise and create content for these devices.
  • Edit and format to appropriate standards.
  • Upload audio, video, text and graphics to media sites e.g. YouTube
  • Set up a business page on Facebook
  • Learn to use available tools to promote and monitor the business page.
  • Identify and use mobile apps.
  • Streamline work-flow by using social media and business apps.

  • People currently studying IT or office procedures
  • Businesses developing a social media presence.
  • Anyone wishing to up-skill on current mobile technologies.

Outcome

Each participant will produce a portfolio of content including a Facebook business page, a LinkedIn and twitter profile and a Youtube Channel.
