Digital Filmmaking

Course details

We are offering courses which can be delivered at your own premises via our mobile training equipment. Participants on this innovative course will learn through both classroom teaching and all important ‘hands-on’ experience how to shoot on High Definition digital cameras and learn foundation skills of film-making. Best of all, it is great fun and students will learn new skills in directing, acting, visual storytelling as well as techniques of white balancing, shutter speed and varied camera angles while producing a short film. All Participants receive a DVD of their work for inclusion in their portfolios

HOW TNMI DELIVER THE COURSE

Pre-Production

We send storyboard templates and some active viewing ideas (DVD) for the learners to view and discuss.

Production

• 3 days - we come to your premises with our mobile training equipment.
• Each learner is provided with a workbook.
• We storyboard with the group on a project idea.
• Technical skills training on camera, audio, lighting and still digital camera.
• Film & TV Make-up.
• Filming of project
• Basic film editing.

Post-Production

Upon returning to our Studio, we finalise edit.

TNMI handle all FETAC administration, verification, authentication, entry results and certification.

Cost includes two qualified, professional tutors who have over 10 years experience delivering filmmaking courses nationwide and overseas to Youth Services, Youthreach, Drama Groups, Art squad, Community Groups, Traveller groups and Young Irish Filmmaker groups.
