Producing professionally laid out documents is an essential skill in promoting and communicating your organisation’s identity.
This course will enable students to produce a range of documents using the Adobe package InDesign. Students will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of design including typography, graphics, page layout and branding.
The course will take them from client brief to printed document. Students will also learn how to encourage their creative thinking, generate ideas and how best to present those ideas.
On successful completion of the course your knowledge and skills will include:
the capacity to create a range of possible designs to meet a given brief with due consideration for production cost, presentation format and environment, and print materials
the ability to generate graphic content using a DTP application to create, import, capture and manipulate images and drawings
the capacity to fulfil the requirements of a client brief completing all stages in the publication process including requirements analysis and definition, solution design, planning, production, finishing, printing and publication
