This course is for learners who work or want to work as professional chefs in the catering and hospitality sector. This programme aims to meet the professional skills development needs of those aspiring to a career in the culinary sector. A work based placement throughout the course, working in registered establishments, will re-enforce and underpin learning on the programme.

Requirements
- 18 years.
- To be eligible you must be in receipt of Job seekers Allowance/Benefit or on the Live Register for 12 out of the last 18 months (signing on for the Social Insurance Contribution Credits) and be actively seeking work.
- An information & testing session will be held in the FIT offices on Thursday.
- not essential.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
