The content of this short course includes: The methods, principles and techniques by which both planned and actual costs of operations, processes, departments, products or services are established
- Responsibility for the effective use of resources involving control by variance analysis
- Relevant cost for decision-making
- Stock Control
- Marginal Costing
- Variance Accounting
- Presentation of Information to Management
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Demonstrate understanding of the types of costs and classification and costing methods
2. Understand the process and methods of budgeting
3. Produce budgeting plan and cost reports
4. Use appropriate methods and techniques to monitor performance against budgets within a business
Admission Requirements
Students should normally satisfy the following minimum academic requirements:
- Three GCE 'O' level passes with a pass in Chinese
International students with equivalent qualifications may be admitted on the condition that they are proficient with Chinese.
Certification
After the completion of the short course, students will be given a Certificate of Completion by Beacon International College.
