COSO Based Internal Audit

Course details

For internal audit managers and above, this course helps participants to familiarise and implement a COSO approach to delivering internal audit services. (For banking and financial services clients, BASEL III requirements are also covered, and the interrelationship of the frameworks explored.) 

Participants will learn:

• The role and evolution of international frameworks
• Key requirements of COSO (and BASEL III)
• Implementing COSO including:

1. key steps
2. pitfalls
3. the planning stage
4. fieldwork

• Effective communication of results and follow up

After completing the course, participants will understand the function of international frameworks, identify how international frameworks may be introduced in internal audit methodology, and adapt an existing approach to COSO (and BASEL III) requirements.
