This course is designed to give par­tic­i­pants the core skills requiredin the com­puter sci­ence indus­try and to pre­pare stu­dents for careers demand­ing spe­cial­ist knowl­edge of pro­gram­ming, net­work­ing imple­men­ta­tion and web technology.

Entry Require­ments:

Appli­ca­tions are invited from those who have com­pleted a Leav­ing Cer­tifi­cate with 5 passes or equiv­a­lent. Mature stu­dents and recent school leavers with­out for­mal qual­i­fi­ca­tions are also invited to apply. All appli­cants will be interviewed.

Pro­gres­sion and Career Options:

This is a new course which pre­pares stu­dents for careers in Net­work­ing and Infor­ma­tion Tech­nolo­gies. Stu­dents may also progress to related courses at Third level.
