More and more IT companies are seeking employees with proven cloud computing skills and with business spend on cloud computing increasing, gaining CompTIA certification to back up your knowledge and skill in this area could boost your career to another level. This CompTIA Cloud+ online training course is for anyone already working in IT with practical work experience of IT networking or storage.

In the course you’ll work through seven self-paced modules, there are visual demonstrations, quizzes and exam simulators available within the training course to ensure you get the maximum opportunity to succeed in your studies.

This course will give you the opportunity to go on and undertake the CompTIA Could+ exam and gain CompTIA certification, recognised internationally. Your Course Advisor will confirm the additional fee payable for CompTIA certification.

Target Audience

The Cloud+ course is suitable for those who have already got at least a year’s working knowledge of IT networking, storage or data centre administration, and who would like to be in a position to gain a CompTIA Cloud+ certification. If you’re a beginner to IT and Cloud computing, we offer a Cloud Essentials course which may be a more suitable introduction.

Content

There are seven modules in this Cloud+ course.

Module 1 – Introduction – Models, Service and Delivery Models, Terms and Characteristics, Objects and Storage Concepts

Module 2 – Virtualisation, Install, Configure, Manage VM and Devices (Hands on snapshots and cloning), Backups (hands on virtual network interface cards), Virtual Disks (hands on virtual disks), Virtual Switches, Virtual Resource Migration, Benefits of Virtualisation in a Cloud Environment, and Compare and Contrast Virtual Environment

Module 3 – Infrastructure, Different Access Protocols, Explain Storage Configuration, File System Types, Executive Storage Provisioning, Network Share Demo, Implement Appropriate Network Configurations, Importance of Network Optimization, Troubleshoot Basic Network Configuration Troubleshoot Commands, Explain Common Network Protocols and Common Hardware Resources

Module 4 - Resource Management, Establishing Baselines and Thresholds, Appropriately Allocate Physical Host Resources, Appropriately Allocate Virtual Guest Resources, and Use Appropriate Tools for Remote Access

Module 5 – Security, Storage Security Concepts and Methods, Different Encryption Technologies and Identify Access Control Methods

Module 6 - Systems Management, Diagnose, Remediate and Optimise, Common Performance Concepts, and Testing Techniques

Module 7 - Business Continuity in Cloud, Solutions To Meet Availability Requirements and Conclusions
