Companies Act 2014: Module 5: Investigations & Offences is a single module delivered across a webinar and classroom based courses over different dates.

Course Content: 

Module 5: Investigations & Offences. 

Wednesday 3rd June: Corporate Governance - Webinar Time: 1.00pm - 2.00pm This session will cover:

  • Specific requirements for each company type, Effects of non-compliance, Rationale behind new approach and Best Practice.

Thursday 11th June: Offences under the Act - Webinar Time: 1.00pm - 2.00pm This session will cover:

  • The four categories of offences, Major offences in each category, Criminal Justice Act 2011 and Liability of Accountants specifically.

Saturday 13th June: Investigations - Classroom/ Live Streaming Time: 1.30pm - 3.30pm. This session will cover:

  • Power to Appoint an Investigator, Duties of Officers of a company, Courses of action to be taken on receipt of report, Duties of accountants, employees and other persons.

Learning Outcomes: 

  • You will learn about Specific requirements for each company type, Effects of non-compliance, Rationale behind new approach and Best Practice.
