Course details
Students is educated on the combination of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW-TIG) on mild steel pipe in all positions.
This includes proper techniques for welding, and how the GTAW and SMAW process works.
Each student will be able to perform a fillet and groove weld.
A certificate is issued upon successful completion.
Eligibility / Requirements
No previous experience or qualification. Minimum age 16 years.

State of the Arc Academy is a Training Facility, accredited with QCTO and merSETA and offer you Welding Training on all the various welding processes. Safe Work Practices, Basic Hand Tools, and Grinding Safety, are included in the Main Courses, but can be obtained separately.
